Hi there.
I have Windows 95 and a while ago I installed antivirus that uses more memory. I
believe this is why I cannot boot windows. I can still get into safe mode but that's
it.
Has anyone experienced this and can help me either Unistall the program or something
else. I know alot about xp etc but not 95.
Thanks

Why can't you uninstall it from safe mode?

Hi Paul.
Virus checkers do use a lot of Windows resources so why do you need it running all
the time?
Any file you download or you think is suppect you can check for a virus on its own,
just right-click on it.
Whose virus checker are you using?
I'm on Win98SE but I don't have the virus checker running all the time. You would
need to go into the registry to remove it from Windows startup.
I wouldn't have thought that it would have stopped Windows from running though. It
should run but it would run a little slowly.
As KeithT says you can uninstall it in Safe Mode.
