ok my mate gave me a computer that is kinda screwed he tryed installing a cd burner
but seems to have broken it .. when i turn it on it gives me the insert boot disk
and press enter i have put a boot disk in and it didnt do any thing i was wondering
how i check if the floppy drive is working or if its the hard drive. also i have
no idea if any of the wires are plug in wrong cuz he did it and cant remember

The boot disk has to be IN the floppy drive BEFORE you
turn the computer power on.

Is the Burner plugged in to a USB port? If so, make sure the version of Windows 95
you are using is B. Other versions do not support USB. Also, Make sure you have the
appropriate drivers for the Windows 95 OS. The Burner might not support Windows 95.

You might verify that the bootdisk has been properly
made by trying it in another (working) computer. It
should boot up ANY computer, if it's a good bootdisk.
