Question about 'Clear Unwanted Entries from Explorer's New Menu' Wednesday, September 19, 2001 at 8:51 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Vidman (1 messages posted) I have a question about Clear Unwanted Entries from Explorer's New Menu: It takes my computer about 5 seconds for the "New" menu to expand. I tried reducing the number of items to three, with no improvment. Why? Is it scanning the registry every time? Is there a way to disable this?
