I had the same problem. It was driving me crazy, but after 45 minutes
I figured it out.
Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network
highlight "Client for Microsoft Networks"
click properties button (which should unshadow)
Under logon validation: uncheck "Log on to Windows NT Domain"
Under Network Logon Options: check "Quick Logon"
Click OK
