i guess i was kinda vague there. basicly, these instructions: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article04-107
on how to fix the MTU settings with regedit didn't work for me and i was wondering
if there was a step missing or something. my problem is not being able to access
some sites on the client machine that work fine on the host machine. the host machine
is running Win2k ICS and the client machine is a 98se box. pinging the gateway like
this PING -f -l 1500 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx gives me the fragmentation error. pinging the
gateway like this: PING -f -l 1454 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx works fine. so i think the problem
does lie in the MTU settings, but i don't know how to fix it. -Niles
