>Curt, you didn't read all of my message. Yes, this will get rid of the task scheduler, but this must be done each and every time one fires up the puter. Your suggestion is a 'given'. That is not what I want to do--read my question again---I want to get the Task Scheduler completely out of my system. It can be done, I just don't remember how to do it. I seem to remember it involves some tinkering with the registry. Thanks for answering, anywho. Bill.
