Dear Robert, Thank you, thank you ,thank you! I have tried everything - including re-installing and upgrading Windows and using Regedit - to get rid of a setup prog that appeared everytime I booted my computer. Thanks to your simple tip I have not only removed the annoyance but also found the root cause (the calling prog) of the problem. Live long and prosper Robert. Best regards Mike.
