It takes approx. 3 seconds for your modem to dial a phone number -everything that 
happens after that is out of your control - data transfer and logon procedures and 
all that.

Do you really think that forcing you modem to dial your  ISP's phone number in 1.5 
seconds instead of 3 seconds is getting you anywhere in life ??

All it does is increase your chances of getting a misdial , especially if you are 
on an older phone network...

Sit back and relax guys ,this isn't a race.......
(or get cable or DSL)
