I have been thinking about putting this question to micosoft about making changes in registry to make 3d objects transparent or have you already done this and if so what was their response? Thanks in advance Dan Pack sorry bout that, sometimes i expect people (general) to know more than they really should MicroAngelo is a program to edit/create cursors, icons, and animated cursors/icons it also has an interface to customize the appearance of every individual folder and desktop options i used this to make the background of my desktop text transparent at this same option you can make a custom color and after making the transparent color it was automatically the color chosen in the color modifier so i added it to my custom colors then went to display properties and used my custom transparent color for all my 3d objects and window backgrounds i have not sent any questions to MS about this
