ics works fine if you know what you are doing first dont install it until you have your network set up just the way you want it because if not when you make any change to your network settings you will have to uninstall ics and then reinstall it be sure you sellect file and print shareing then in the tcp bound to your homenetwork nic not the dsl nic click address and make the address 192.168.0.1 and click tab and the line below is subnet mask type in 255.255.255.0 and disable wins resolution and for safety reasons click the tcp bound to your dial up adapter and click bindings you should see both boxes for file and print checked you need to uncheck file and print here but nowhere else this keeps prying eyes from the internet out of your pc i have shared 3 computers on a dsl line and currently have 2 on dial up it was a pain when i first used it until i learned how to set it up right make sure file and print is set up the same way on the other pc's but dont mess with the address box on them keep them set to auto and make sure all the pc's are on the same workgroup and about the 2 nics one is for the dsl connection this is your dsl modem and the other nic is for your home network like i said before i moved out too far to get dsl i had 3 pc's shareing 1 dsl line it was great blazing speeds on all 3 at the same time i see your message is from last year so you probaly fixed it by now but let me know how it went you should'nt have to mess with any settings for the dsl modem/nic the software from your dsl will take care of it
