O.K, All I can think of is this. goto control panel/power management and select Home/Office Desk in power schemes, system standby- Never,turn off monitor-Never,turn off hard disks-Never.In advanced options the two options should be shutdown when press power button or sleep button.If this doesn't work then it is probably the BIOS settings that need altering.
