While rebooting your PC hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard - This will give you startup options. Select option 4 - Step-by-step confirmation and answer No to the program you do not want to load at startup. Another option is to use msconfig (Start - run - msconfig) as suggested elswhere in this forum.
