If you want to stop some programs from running when you boot up in Windows 98 (haven't
tried this in any other OS), click on Start, then Run and type msconfig. Go to the
startup tab and take out only the programs that YOU KNOW don't need to run for Windows
to function.
I took out real player, aim, morpheus, musicmatch because those don't need to run
when I boot up. I also hate a system tray that is a foot long.
