As another eg you can right click on an advert, check its server URL, and if it is an obvious ad site eg. ads.thebestads.com, you can Block Images From this server. Really speeds up surfing. The tabbed browsing also speeds up surfing: do a search, CTRL-click any potentially useful sites. Then by the time you've gone through a few pages of search info, all the tabs will be filler, ready for viewing/closing. It is software in development; however, I have had only rare crashes in it.
