First off, if you have Client for MS installed in the Network applet, remove it.
You don't need it, unless you're networked.

1. Go to Start>Find>Files & Folders... type in *.pwl and delete all .pwl files in
c:\windows

2. Go to start>Run, type sysedit. Maximize the system.ini
Delete all lines under
[Password Lists]

3. Go to ControlPanel>Network
Choose Windows Logon as Primary Login

Reboot

You should now get the login box one last time. Type in your name. Just click OK
for no password.

Not yet, try:
Backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\current version\network\real mode net\
Right-click on Real Mode Net, choose new>Binary value, name it AutoLogon
and give it a value of 01 00 00 00.
