ZDNet offers a very nice freeware program with an excellent tutorial for creating
animated start up screens. It was first released by PC Magazine. Go to http://www.zdnet.com
and do a search for LogoMania . The search results will give you a couple articles
about the program and a link for the program in the Downloads section.
Karl McMurdo's XRX Logo Utility is really worth trying. It lets you animate ALL colors,
or select just a few - and it has a low registration fee of $10.00. I registered
his program at first to have that super screensaver of his running my animated screens.
Check his site for sample startup screens and links to his programs.

You will find full screen animated start up screens by Lesa Motz in the Holiday listings.
USA is only 17K, a quick download. Another cool effect is Christmas Winter, 81K,
by Roberto Zingales. Personally, I like animating 256 color fractals.
