hey i think in order to have "network neighborhood" appear on the desktop yuo need
microsoft client configured in control panel applet
once you add the "client for microsoft networks" you will get the thing on the desktop
(unless policies are in place the forbade it being there which is unlikely)
so maybe go to the control panel applet and pick "add" then pick "client" then pick
microsoft as the vendor, and client for M$ networks as the desired client
but in fact the desktop icon is to enable file sharing and print sharing amongst
microsoft computers, it will neither help nor hender your ICS
ICS is a different use of your network then the file and print sharing of MS windows,
different redirectors need to be in place on your machine to do the ICS than to do
the network neighborhood
