well, "HP EN1207D-TX PCI 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter" appears to be a network card.
you can check the back of the machine to be sure... look for an rj-45 jack (looks
like a rather large phone jack). seeing as you don't use it, you might want to look
into disabling it. if the card is part of the motherboard, you may be able to do
so via the bios setup. if not, you should be able to disable it via the device manager.
this might also solve other problems, such as extended boot time (though that can
be solved other ways).
anyway, if you don't use the vpn stuff and the network card you could probably pare
the list down to this:
Client for Microsoft Networks
Microsoft Family Logon
Dial-Up Adapter
TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adapter
if you don't use the family logon (when windows loads it presents a list of users
at logon time), you can also remove "Microsoft Family Logon" and set the primary
network logon to windows logon (network applet, right below the network
components list).
