Question about 'Prevent file corruption problems'

I just downloaded one of the file shareing programs and now I'm having a problem.
Only when I use the program when I shut down my computer I get the blue screen and
must shut down manually. When I downloaded the program I got the error message can't
locate C:\windows\system32\notepad.exe what could have happened and what can I do
to fix it thank you..............Freda
