I'm not sure what you mean by "file sharing programs", but I would uninstall it via
Add/Remove Programs and then restore the registry: Reboot the computer and hold down
the Ctrl key until the Startup menu appears. Select Command Prompt only and enter
"scanreg /restore" without the quotes. Choose a registry backup that predates the
start of the problem.
