System won't recognize my cd

I just tore apart and rebuilt my HP
6535. I basicly got rid of the HP
motherboard and case, but I transferred
my 2 IDE hard drives, floppy drive, RAM, and
DVD+cd/rw to the new case. I also had
to install a video card and replaced
the processor with a Celeron 900 Mhz.
When I booted up for the first time,
windows began finding and installing new drivers for my
hard drives and the DVD cd/rw, though
all these were already in place from
the old system. Now my system will not
recognize my cd player. In BIOS it comes up, but not in my computer. This is
preventing me from reinstalling all the
drivers for everything because all of
their support software is on cd's. I also can't seem to find drivers onlilne for
my hard drives. Why
doesn't my system use the old drivers
that were in place and how can I get my
cd to run again so I can load the old
drivers back into place??? Please help!!
thanks!
