Having owned one of the 500C's, I can tell you that it will still work as it ought
to. I'm sure that your problem is driver-related. Something you installed made a
mess of the driver's settings. Finding WHERE could take you months. My suggestion
is to use My Computer / Properties (which brings up the hardware manager) to uninstall
the printer, then reinstall it. That will renew all the settings for your printer
and it should fix the problem. If it doesn't (for some unknoen reason), then try
using the newest driver available from HP's web site. I never had any problems under
Win 98 that couldn't be solved using this procedure.
