I, too, am having the same problem, using an NVIDIA dual-monitor card, but Windows
98 SE detects and installs TWO extra default monitors besides the correct monitor
that I manually installed. I think I've solved the problem -- under the properties
tab for the default monitors, I checked Disable. My CD burner worked the next time
I tried it, after crashing 11 times in mid-burn before I did that.
