can you boot to safe mode successfully?

if so, go to START > RUN > type: msconfig (enter)

there are three primary options...normal, diagnostic and selective startup.

if you are in normal startup, choose selective startup and then uncheck all the options that come available below it. click ok and ok again to reboot. could you boot successfully?

if you are already in selective startup, note what is checked and unchecked...especially on the 'startup tab', then uncheck everything below 'selective startup' on the general tab, click ok and ok again to reboot. did it boot successfully?
