Question about 'Customize Drive Icons'

I have a question about Customize
Drive Icons:
In the topic it says to "Save the file as AUTORUN.INF in the root directory of the
hard disk you wish to change." Ok I got it to work for my C drive but where do i
save it (Wheres the root directory?) for my 3 1/2 Floopy, my Zip Drive (its external),
CD ROM drive, and CD-RW Drive (its external) ?
Im basicly mentaly challenged on stuff like this because I don't really mess around
with this type of stuff so some instructions where to save them would be helpful.
