I was having all sorts of trouble with my X73. I was getting random communications
errors. I called Lexmark support and they fixed the problem!
It turns out (believe it or not) that my USB cable was too long! I had a 10' cable
I got from wal-Mart. Lexmark said it had to be 6' or less. I replaced it with a
higher quality (gold contacts) cable and no more printer communications errors!
Go figure.
