Thanks for the note. Yes, I have gone a little crazy on this, trying everything
I could think of. I considered diddling with the modem jumpers, but I bought it
used and don't have the manual on it, so I figured I could really wreak havoc by
changing jumpers blindly. I may still try it as a last resort, though. Anyway,
I appreciate your taking the time to help. - Tim.
