My drive has become corrupted and works away even when I'm not active. Internet performance has slowed to a crawl as the background operation seems work away almost nonstop. I've reloaded Windows 98 2nd Ed. unformatted with no improvement. Having a lot of files and music I loathe to lose, I would hate to reformat. Is there any other way? Thanks, Jim Carson
