Jim; Do what Ian said except for one thing. Don't use control alt delete to close all programs. The better way is to restart the computer and when you see the "post" screen (usually shows video card, memory amount or similar), hold down the LEFT CTRL key. This will bring up a menu. Select SAFE MODE. Then defrag your drive. When done, just restart computer normally.
