Don't install Iomegaware 3.11 on WIN 2k or you can say goodbye to your desktop like
I did.
When I loaded the win2k driver on for my iomega LPT 100 mb zip disk, I was fine but
when I loaded on Iomegaware, it killed my desktop and when I would boot up, it would
take a good 15 minutes to load windows - most of the time, I would see the desktop
hang blank with just the wall paper and no startup menu buttons etc.
Here's the fix to getting your system back up via safe mode with networking :
DO NOT RUN IOMEGA'S UNINSTALLER - IT'S GARBAGE
Remove these files (move them to your desktop if you like)
27=D:\WINNT\ioAccess.dll
28=D:\WINNT\System32\IomegaAccess.exe
29=D:\WINNT\System32\ZipToA.exe
30=D:\WINNT\System32\ioReady.dll
31=D:\WINNT\System32\ioRdyUI.dll
32=D:\Program Files\Iomega\Common\ioRdyUI.dll
33=D:\WINNT\System32\ioRdyenu.ils
and don't forget to delete the files in
D:\Program Files\Iomega\
