Make sure you don't have the Windows Password installed when you start up. This will
conflict with some e-mail programs. To cancel the win 98 Password Screen, TYPE IN
THE PASSWORD! (hopefully you can remember it).
Then go to the control panel and click on password (shows a picture of a couple of
keys). When the password screen comes up, type in the password ONLY AND NOTHING ELSE
and click OK. This should solve your problem.
