You should backup or have recently backed up your Registry so you can restore it in case you delete something important by accident. Okay... Open Regedit, (Run, type regedit, ok). Click on Edit, click on Find and type IsShortcut and delete. Go back to Edit, Find again and continue deleting all instances of it until you've finished searching the registry. Go back to your desktop, press F5 and Restart your PC. Presto, No more little white shortcut arrows.
