Hi, my response is a little out of date...
I see that's benn posted on 2001.
So, that goes...
Make a startup disk in '98 and, at reboot, select start computer with cd-rom support,
then hold down shift+F8 and select ms-dos mode ('command prompt only').
Or, you can add the following line to your config.sys file:
'lh c:\windows\command\mscdex.exe:0001 /x'
where x is the letter assigned for your cd-rom drive (e.g., if you have two partitions
or hard disks, then the letter assigned for the cd-rom would be e:, if you have three
would be f: ans so on...).
I hope that will do some work for somebody, i think that it is obsolete for the original
user.
