Windows needs to locate an .inf file which contains the information describing the
hardware you are trying to install. Sometimes you have to drill down thru subdirectories
on a Cd-rom disk or in a folder in order to find the specific .inf file for the device.
The problem with the browse/search feature within the Add Hardware Wizard is that
sometimes it requires that you type the complete path to the file in the 'Open' filename
box. For instance, D:\install\modem\win98\blah.inf.
