Read something today in a bookshop (Peter Norton's Guide To XP) .Something about an address being allocated automatically (Ithink it was 192.etc) that would not actually work. Maybe I should have paid the £20 for the book! It has made me think about the 'automatically get address' check.Perhaps I should give one and forget about the XP setup disc. Interesting too but the router indicator lights for the XP machine that works stay on when the PC is off. Yet the lights for the 98SE only come on when the PC is on. I dont know what telnet is.
