You can't delete Windows, so you'd need to reformat and wipe out all your data.
There are things to try that might help, but it's hard to say. It won't hurt anything
to try! Btw, Kernel32.dll is the core of the operating system.
You can run the I.E. repair tool, and you may need to reinstall it, if it says it
can't be repaired....no big deal. Then you can clear out temp files, run scan disk
and defrag.....just for starters.
Repair I.E.
Go to Conrol Panel (start / settings / Ctrl. Panel)
1. Add-Remove Prog.
2. Highlight MSIE & Tools
3. Click Chg. or Remove
4. Click Add-Remove
5. Repair I. Exp.---OK---Yes
6. Will prompt to restart PC
Or:
IE Repair Tool-- Start - Run - (type) msinfo32 - OK --Tools - IE Repair Tool -- Repair
IE.
Hard disk maintenance:
Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Internet Options
Under the General tab click the Delete temporary internet files, choose to delete
all Offline content and click Clear History button.
Go to Find - Files or folders - in the named box type: *.tmp and choose Edit - select
all - File - delete. Do the same for *.chk. Then type: temp. Empty the contents of
the C:\Windows\temp folder. Empty Recycle bin
Normal mode:
Close all tray applications and hit Alt_Ctl_Del and end task on all items except
for Explorer and Systray, disable your screensaver by setting to "None." Run scandisk,
then defrag. Reboot.
Or:
Run Scan disk and Defrag in Safe mode, if necessary. To get into safe mode press
and hold the Ctrl. key after starting your PC.
Plus, check in your startups and uncheck unnecessary items loading.
Right-click on the icons in the tray area, open each, go through the options to turn
off the "tray" or "run at startup" feature.
For the others, go to Start - Run, type: msconfig. Under startup tab....Leave Systray,
Scan Registry, Load Power Profile (if using power schemes), your virus scanner and
firewall if you have one.
These are basics, so post back and let us know how it goes. It should help something.
Plus, do you have quite a few third party programs installed?
