Hi,
In my experience of running networks between different versions of windows, the most
hassle-free way of achieving file/print sharing via Network Neighborhood, etc., is
to enable Client for Microsoft Networks on every machine. This is a common protocol
that enables win95 to talk to win98 or even NT (2000/XP)

Set up one user on each machine, called "Anyone", and a blank password. This means
that you'll get the Windows Networking login screen, but all you have to do is press
enter to login. If you are not logged in to the MS Network, then whenever to try
to access shared resources, you'll be prompted for a username and password.

I wrote a vb program for win95/98 that automatically waits for the login dialog to
appear, and then presses OK for you. If you want a copy I'll dig it out for you.
