Steven: click Start, Run, type: msconfig
select the Startup folder, disable one of the programs and restart.
repeat until you find the culprit.
a suggestion: start with System File Checker itself.
there is no need to run it as part of your bootup.
you can activate it with Run: sfc
whenever you need it for monthly maintenance.
