I have a program that does the same thing. The manual explains that any changes
you make (modifying a graph, adjusting a page layout, deleting photos and text, etc.)
are all actually retained in the file even if they are no longer used.
To purge the file of all non-relevant data select SAVE AS and enter the same
or a new filename. I think this could explain the behavior of your program too.
