i had the same problems a sydney, so i followed your directions, and now have a complete nightmare on my hands! all of my settings for everything have been erased, including very important ones like all of my autocorrect and autotext entries, all my macros, everything is gone! please help! and the worst part is that i spent 5 painstaking hours last night retyping all that stuff in, and i start Microsoft Word today and everything has been deleted AGAIN! When i started Microsoft Word, i think a box came up called "Windows Installer" and it said "Preparing to install" and then it went away and another box came up for Microsoft Word that said something like "Please wait while we reconfigure your settings for microsoft word". i need serious help from someone so that all my settings stop resetting. i am a medical transcriptionist and need my settings to remain. i would be so, so grateful. Amy p.s. is there any way to get the old settings back?
