Gaylene - suggest you close all programs in your start up that you don't need:
Start->Run->MSCONFIG
OK
Startup (Tab)
Then uncheck everything except SysTray.exe and the Norton programs, close MSCONFIG,
re-boot and see if you still have a problem with low resources.
