Hello Randy, There ... could ... be a problem with RealPlayer Download so I avoid
this by disabling it, so that I am in control of when I want to download, and the
same is true of ALL auto-download programs on my computer.
If you go to Start, Run and type: msconfig , and then press enter and open the Start-Up
group, scroll until you get to TkBellExe . Scroll across the window and read the
line: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe -osboot
LEAVE THIS ENTRY CHECKED
Now you know what it is and where to look for it in the main program directory too.
You will need to start in safe-mode and alter the name of realsched.exe to realsched.old
If you uncheck the TkBellExe entry in msconfig RealPlayer will only put another entry
in. If you leave it checked it won't.
