Hello again. You know, I think I'm going out of my MIND w
this--it's so exasperating, it's almost sickening!!!
Yes, the lines still appear in safe mode.
As for going the CP -> Stgs, etc., route, I've done that
THOUSANDS of times--and NOW, in addition to there
being no MONITORS listed, there are no DISPLAY ADAPTERS
listed EITHER!!! The thing is, each time I reboot, I get this
message from Ws saying the display is not configured
properly--as if I didn't KNOW--and putting me into INSTALL
WIZARD mode.
Someone suggested it might be the monitor per se, but I
don't think so--it was working perfectly till Dodo Bird here (me)
started fooling around w the resolution. You see, I thought
that if Ilowered the resolution, the system would be fasted--
and it was for a while, but then the lines appeared--and NOW
I only have 16 colours--and I can't increase the resolution
for love nor money!!! I tell you, I am at my wit's END with
this. Do you know if there is anything I could access on the
Ws CD tht would help, and how I would go about accessing
it? Once again, many thanx for your help--I would dearly
love to get this settled soon--it's so MADDENING!!! Millie.
