I believe I found the solution to the "user.exe" error message for IE using WIN ME.
I had the same problem and what I did I downloaded the JAVA(TM) Plug-in 1.4.0_0.1
and it will override the IE user.exe and so far it has worked. I downloaded this
software using Netscape and before I installed it ask if you want to install it on
both Netscape and IE and I answered yes.
