I'm afraid you misunderstand.  True, if one doesn't use compatible drivers, it won't 
work -- no question.  What I am asking is whether USB 1.1 is capable of functioning 
correctly under Win98se following the application of that update.  After all, just 
because an update is issued, doesn't mean everything is hunky-dory afterwards.

Now, if you aren't actually a USB user, you probably have no idea whether or not 
the update solves the problems.  However, if you are, then you might even have some 
views on the reliability of USB 2.0 support under Win98SE.  That would interest me 
very much.
