Real Player causing HAVOC!

For no apparent reason (I even suspected a virus), my Windows 98-based system started
running very slowly (over a minute to bring up Control Panel, CDs would not start
automatically, etc.) and when the Office Taskbar came up at the end of the daily
start-up, it AND the bottom "START"/icons taskbar were frozen, too.
After nearly resorting to a complete Windows 98 restore (since our last backup was
a few days old), I happened to read the posts here. Thanks to everyone that posted,
since you helped solve our problem!!!
Before I deleted the "RNsystem.dat" file, I happened to notice a program entitled,
"TKBellExe" in the MSCONFIG list. I simply unchecked it and, voila! Everyone is back
to normal (well, as far as Windows 98 can be) now.
Now, to send a "howler" to the idiots at Real.com!
