There's nothing in either the poster's question, brief as it is, or the article she's referencing, to suggest her Explorer is corrupt.

In all versions of Windows Explorer is crash-prone without being corrupt.

Sure, extracting a new copy can't do any harm, but in most cases it's not going to do any good either.
