On reflection, JmC's right - we need more information.
You're assuming one perfectly valid scenario, I'm assuming a different one, because
it's the one that happens to me occasionally, and it doesn't involve a corrupt Explorer
- just me pushing my old machine a bit too hard.To be specific, when I crash explorer
in 98, it restarts, but I lose all the icons in the system tray, even though the
apps there are still running. (No, it's not the greeting card syndrome, because it
only affects the tray.)
