Thanks from me as well regarding this problem. It had hit one of the PCs at work
and now less than a month later hits my home machine. I too went through the process
of wondering if it was a virus/hard drive failure/win 98 being crap, but to find
its a piece of spyware doing this is shocking. How do these companies get away with
this?! I was nearly at the point of formatting the hard drive!
Anyway, deleting realplayer does the trick.
Wonder why it seems to be kicking into gear round the same time for a lot of us?;)
Bloody spyware!
