I will answer your question as you should have phrased it, and assume that this is
what you meant:
If you get a messege from a site that says you should enable cookies, or javascript
for that matter, consider the following:
Javascript and cookies were already enabled by default in Internet Explorer,
in Windows (therefore AOL), and Netscape and all the others. So if you did change
it, and you cannot view a page, the problem is thus:
1. You are using an outdated "favorite," bookmark, or internet site link. Not
all links on the Internet actually work, as sites often change. Some google search
results actually pull up error pages! To correct this, navigate to the homepage or
startpage of the site you are trying to view, and go "the long way" this is especially
true of sites with login feature. then if you want, you can update your bookmark
or personal link. SOME PAGES that are part of a sequence or that change in too often
in quality simply cannot be bookmarked; you will have to experiment.
2. Your temporary Internet Files are corrupted. This can cause problems viewing pages.
It is recommended to delete Temp files about once a month. To fis this: I reccommend
that you Cleanup Temp files on Drive C. Go to Start->RUN and type CLEANMGR in the
box that appears. Click OK. When the Disk Cleanup Utility appears, it will say drive
C is selected. Click OK. Some items will be checked. You do not need to empty the
Recycle Bin at this time if you choose, but all the others you should have checked.
Proceed to delete the files. Now try your internet page again. Let me know if this
helps.
